Recently finished a new website for my long-time friends at CAWACO RC&D. They were one of my very first clients, and I’ve been working with them for about 11 years now. Great folks. Great projects. One of the great things about working with WordPress websites is the ability to completely change the look and functionality of a site without having the do much of anything with the content. A few tweaks of some tags, changing a few photos around and bang: a new look to a site that really needed a refresh!
Old Family Photos: Aunt Gladys
Found this photo in a box that I didn’t know existed in our basement. A couple of other small treasures in it as well. I’ll scan those in later. For those new to this blog, my Aunt Gladys (my father Clark Watts’ sister) lived in Alaska for years in the 1930’s – 1950’s. This must be one of the older photos of her. She was a school teacher.
The CEDS website for the AARC
Just completed (well, last month) a website that has been in the works for over a year. CEDS (the Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy) is a periodic statewide project done by the Regional Planning Commissions around Alabama. They asked me to help them put it on the web.

Perry County Chamber Website
Wrapped up a website for the Perry County Chamber of Commerce several months ago and just tweaked it a little more to add some additional movement to the front page. They have a huge selection of audio files of Perry County natives telling stories about many of the historic structures found in Perry County. I’ve included the audio files along with maps and gps coordinates to each site. Makes me want to head to Perry County! (For those who don’t know, Perry County is in Southwest Alabama just a bit over an hour from Birmingham. The largest city–and home to some excellent antique shopping–is Marion, Alabama.)
